Eight years old record breaking daredevil wing-walks at 100mph on grandfather's bi-plane

A daredevil flew into the record books yesterday after becoming the world's youngest wing-walker - at just eight years old.
Fearless Tiger Brewer was strapped to the wings of his grandfather's biplane and reached speeds of 100mph at 1,000ft.
He claimed the world record from the previous holder - Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason's son, Guy, who held the record after wing-walking aged 11 in 2001.

Speaking after the five-minute flight, he said: 'It was quite scary but once I was up there it was really really good.
'The view was amazing, everything looked so small I could see everyone below but couldn't make out who was who.
'I want to do it again now. It really was amazing. The only thing that hurt was the windburn, but apart from that I loved it.'

The trip was arranged by Tiger's grandfather Vic Norman, who owns the only formation wing-walking team in the world, Team Guinot.
He also piloted the plane during the record-breaking flight.

Tiger was strapped on top the wings of a Boeing Spearman biplane and took to the skies from RFC Rendcomb Airfield near Cirencester, at 11am.
He was watched by proud dad Colin, 42, a television director, mum Zoe, 39, an interior designer, and five-year-old sister Flame.

Colin, of Willesden, north London, said: 'I am so proud of Tiger I can't believe he has done it.
'This time last year he wouldn't even attempt a big water slide and now he has been on top of an aeroplane. I am so pleased.
'He was absolutely fantastic but there was no pressure. We said to him earlier that he didn't have to go through with it if he didn't want to, but he was determined.
'It was amazing to see him on top of the plane, he was a bit nervous but it has been a great personal achievement.'
Proud grandfather Vic, 61, said it was fantastic to take one of his seven grandchildren up in the air.
He said: 'He looked slightly nervous at first but he soon relaxed and looked like he was really enjoying it.
'We had a code to let me know if he wanted to go down but he didn't use it.
'I am really really proud to have taken him up and I am so pleased he now has the world record for the youngest wing-walker.
'It's something he can carry with him for the rest of his life. I am sure I will take him up again.
'He shares my passion for flying and it will be a very special experience for us both.'

The mother of all baby bumps: Octuplets mum bares her ENORMOUS stomach just eight days before giving birth

There are baby bumps and then there are baby bumps.

But there must be few women in history who have ever had a baby bump quite like octuplets mother Nadya Suleman.

These extraordinary pictures show the 33-year-old baring her stomach eight days before having her brood.

Smiling proudly, the mother-of-14 hoists her green patterned smock to show off her hugely distended stomach to the camera.

The photographs, which first went up on tmz.com, show the strain her body was under as she reached the end of her record-breaking pregnancy.

Single mother Suleman, who already had six children by IVF, used a fertility doctor to give birth to her babies.

The new pictures surfaced on the day it emerged she had fled her house in Whittier, California, to go into hiding with her older children after receiving death threats.

She has even taken on the services of a security firm to ensure the safety of her family.

Her publicist Michael Furtney said: 'There has been some really nasty stuff about wanting to physically harm Nadya, and outrageous statements about both her and her children.

'We have a security firm that we've been working with and they have certainly made contact with the police about the threats. I don't know where that will go, but we'll see'

Much of the anger surrounds the eight babies' conception by IVF.

Yesterday, Suleman launched a website, encouraging readers to give her money via credit cards and send parcels.

The American mother, who already receives a raft of state handouts to care for her growing brood, also left a message to well-wishers.

'We thank you for the love and good wishes sent to us from around the world,' she said.

And she adds that the octuplets, born on January 26, are 'all healthy and growing stronger by the day.'

The babies have been named Noah, Maliah, Isaiah, Nariah, McCai, Josiah, Jeremiah and Jonah.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Miss Suleman has three disabled children

Despite previously insisting that she will not be claiming benefits, her publicist confirmed that she already receives food stamps and child disability payments to help feed and care for her six other children.

But he would not disclose the nature of the disabilities, or the type or sum of the payments.

The news came as it was revealed that all of Suleman's children were conceived with help from the same fertility doctor - Dr Michael Kamrava.

The 57-year-old, who runs a clinic on glamorous Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California, is being investigated by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

Dr Kamrava, who helped pioneer embryo implantation, is a controversial figure in the field.

'He's tried some novel techniques and some of those methods have been controversial,' said Dr John Jain, founder of Santa Monica Fertility Specialists.

He criticised the decision to implant so many embryos, saying: 'I do think that this doctor really stepped outside the guidelines in a very extreme manner, and as such, put both the mother and children at extra high risk of disability and even death.’

Dr Jeffrey Steinberg, a professional acquaintance of Dr Kamrava's, said he worked to develop an embryo transfer device that allows doctors to implant an embryo - or sometimes sperm with an unfertilised egg - directly into the uterine lining.

whale stranded dies on Irish beach as rescuers struggle to save it & its Record-breaking

A 65ft fin whale left stranded on a sandbar died this afternoon, despite desperate efforts to lead it back to the safety of the ocean.

The giant ocean mammal was discovered beached in Courtmacsherry Bay, off the coast of West Cork in Ireland.

The second largest animal on earth after the blue whale, the fin whale, was spotted by members of the local RNLI and a frantic rescue operation was launched.

It is thought the doomed whale may have swam into the bay overnight and then become stranded by a ridge of sand built up by ocean currents.

Coastguards battled for hours, trying to rescue the stricken animal but sadly the whale died at around 1.30pm.

Michael Hurley of the Courtmacsherry Lifeboat said of the giant mammal: 'His tail was up in the air waving about and he was very much alive at that time.

'I could see the spume of water being blown up. As time moved on, it became obvious he was getting more and more tired as his activity began to slow down.'

'He may have been injured at sea. There is a score mark along one of his sides as if he was in collision with a ship or a trawler which may have contributed to him getting into difficulty. The biggest problem now will be getting him off the beach as he has to be taken away to a rendering plant.'

One witness said: 'There was a big attempt to rescue the whale but the lifeboat couldn't get near it because the water was too shallow to sail in and too deep to walk through as the tide came in.

'The crew did their best but they just couldn't save it'.

He added: 'The last time this happened they disposed of the whale by blowing it up. But I don't think they'll do that this time.'
Mr Hurley explained that the whale will probably have to be moved by the county council with massive cranes and slings as he weighs about 15 tonnes. He said the creature measured over 65-foot in length and his tail measured 12 feet from tip to tip.

'He is probably one of the biggest ever seen in these waters. The Whale and Dolphin Group know of 65 whales who have been sighted in the Cork Harbour area but he is not one that they have come across before.'

Stranded whales can sometimes be safely coaxed back to the ocean. Rescues in the past have even seen volunteers plunging into the sea to give the gentle giants a push to send them back into the ocean.
There have even been cases where dolphins have been able to save whales where human efforts have failed.

In March last year, a dolphin came to the rescue of two whales which had become stranded on a beach in New Zealand.

Despite an hour-long rescue attempt by conservation officers, the pygmy whales repeatedly beached.

The team were close to giving up when a dolphin appeared, communicated with the whales and led them to safety.
